I just realized that WordReference has an English-Japanese and a Japanese-English dictionary.

Usually for other languages, when they use a third party dictionary, they state which dictionary they’re using.
For example, in English-Italian they specify when they’re using the Collins dictionary.

In the Japanese section they put “WordReference English-Japanese Dictionary © 2019” instead.
Does this mean that their Japanese dictionary is not the usual jmdic?

The WorldReference en-ja dictionary appears to be original content, and not derived from JMDict.
