This is a revival of a topic you might remember from koohii. Feel free to post any recent success! Finishing or reaching a milestone in RTK, Core 2k/6k/10k, Genki, a book, returning to studing, so basically anything related to studying Japanese!
I’ll start by claiming victory over Tango N4! A bit strange since I’ve done the N3 book, but I just wanted to fill in any missing words (according to Morphman.)
I’ll claim victory over Jalup (all 7000 cards). A bit of old news though I am now about 1000 cards into my own custom deck on top of that. It was a great base into an intermediate level.
Thanks for sharing this link…it’s nice to see the old forum again (that actually had lots of activity).
Yeah, not to derail the thread but we need to get more busy here!
More good threads should mean more content and eventually more users. Koohii would often appear near the top of good searches for lots of questions and we’d need to get the same sort of knowledge here! Unfortunately a lot of the Japanese learning community has moved to Discord – which is unsearchable.
Back on topic, I finished Doraemon 1 a few days back!
Finally reached my yearly reading goal of 32 books on Apple Books.
I think it’s time to start reading something longer so I can finish it early next year
I just finished the last volume of Tanizaki’s 細雪, bringing me to 25 books read this year (and 220 ever). I didn’t think I’d manage to finish reading it by the end of the year but once I had some free time and settled down to reading it I had a couple of days of reading about a hundred pages a day and that was enough to get me to the end.
Mostly I’ve been reading books by authors I know I like, but there’s a few new ones in the list too. (If you’re curious what they were you can see them on my booklog timeline.)
